Mitosis- Telophase

By Kye

Telophase is the final stage in Mitosis and it is the exact reverse of the first step,  Prophse. In early telophase the microtubules, or protein fibers, continue to extend and this stretches out the cell further.   New nuclear membranes develop from bits and pieces of the old membrane and this surrounds the chormatids that are at opposite sides of the cell.  The microtubules stretch out so thin that they begin to disappear and the original cell begins to divide in the center.  The cell will take equal parts of the cytoplasm.  The cell has not completely divided but it has started.
